‘The whole church for the whole city’

Over 42 churches around the city from every denomination are coming together for a week of prayer, Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Quakers, Roman Catholic, Salvation Army, United Reformed and Free churches. The city of Exeter is the focus of 24/7 prayer in 20 - 27 November.

1100th Anniversary > Call to Prayer / Fasting

 

The Bishop together with the Devon Church leaders issued a call to prayer and fasting for Christians in the county at the beginning of Lent (end of February 2009).

The 1100th Anniversary is a time to celebrate our Christian heritage but it is also a time to reflect on God’s promises and faithfulness as we face up to the huge challenges of embodying the Gospel in today’s society.

In prayer and fasting we look for greater dependence on One Lord and a renewed faith and spirit.
