Week of Prayer 24/7
‘The whole church for the whole city’

Over 42 churches around the city from every denomination are coming together for a week of prayer, Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Quakers, Roman Catholic, Salvation Army, United Reformed and Free churches. The city of Exeter is the focus of 24/7 prayer in 20 - 27 November.

1100th Anniversary > Celebration Day

 

On 27 June 2009, at Exeter Cathedral and surrounding areas, we are planning for the arrival of 2000 – 4000 pilgrims from various denominations.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams is celebrating and preaching at the Eucharist at 11.30 am on the Cathedral Green.

Lunch stations will be available on the Cathedral Green from 1 pm.

Seminars on relevant issues for God’s Mission here in Devon will be on offer across the city centre from 3 - 4.30 pm. Tickets are availabe on Saturday 27th June in the Cathedral Cloisters at the Information Desk until 2 pm, or from 2.30 pm at the relevant venues.

Jim Bailey will be leading an exciting multi-media and interactive children's celebration in the Bishop's Palace Garden from 2.30 - 4.45 pm open for children aged 5-11.

Life on the Beach events will take place on the Cathedral Green from 2 - 5 pm.

Songs of Praise, led by Judi Spiers, will take place on the Cathedral Green from 5.15 pm

As part of Exeter Summer Festival, there will be an evening concert on the Green following the Songs of Praise.
